Çeşme is a district of İzmir.
Çeşme, officially the Çeşme Municipality, is a municipality and district of İzmir Province, Turkey. Its area is 285 km2, and its population is 48,924 (2022). It sits at Turkey's westernmost end, on a promontory on the tip of the peninsula that also carries the same name and that extends inland to form a whole with the wider Urla-Karaburun-Çeşme Peninsula. It is a popular holiday resort and the district center, where two thirds of the district population is concentrated. Çeşme is located 85 km west of İzmir, the largest metropolitan center in Turkey's Aegean Region. There is a six-lane highway connecting the two cities (Otoyol 32). Çeşme district has two neighboring districts, Karaburun to the north and Urla to the east, both of which are also part of İzmir Province.

Alaçatı
Alaçatı is a stone-house village that became fashionable without losing its market, its windmills or its wind. It is best on foot: breakfast in a courtyard, a walk through the old streets, then a drive to the beaches. Windsurfers head to Alaçatı bay; everyone else eats, shops and stays up late.
Best time to visit: May to June and September; wind is strongest in summer.
Çeşme
Çeşme is the castle, the marina, the thermal springs and a string of beaches south of town. It is a summer place with a long season: windsurf, swim, eat seafood and take the ferry to Chios if the schedule works. The castle and the old streets are worth an hour before the beach.
Best time to visit: June to September; May and October are quieter.
İzmir
İzmir is the Aegean's largest city, with a long waterfront, markets and a relaxed Mediterranean rhythm. Ephesus, Pergamon and the nearby coast are within day-trip distance, while Alaçatı and Çeşme add summer energy.
